Today, I had one of those days where you just can't help but be proud of what you accomplish. Maybe it was such a lovely day because I started it out with a fantastic breakfast.
So French. So yum. |
I mailed a letter, got money from the ATM machine, filmed some clips for a video that you'll hopefully get to see on Monday, and went grocery shopping. I also walked around a bit, admiring the town and happened upon this statue of Hamish McHamish. Hamish was a cat famous for living in St Andrews who died last year.

I discovered the raspberry blackcurrant frap and I'm in love |
I went out to dinner with some fellow JSA friends to Nando's. We split a beautiful platter of wings and sides and a pitcher of delicious sangria.
Afterwards, we grabbed some ice cream from Tesco's and went back to Alli's kitchen to make hot chocolate and eat ice cream. We ended up talking for about two hours...it's great to have a friend group of fellow Americans who understand the struggles of living in a new country. We've agreed to cook dinner together on Monday.
I have to get up early tomorrow morning (the earliest I'll have woken up since orientation!) to go to a undergraduate history research conference. I'm quite excited about the conference...but not about seeing 7:30am! xx
That's the kind of days I was hoping you'd have :)
ReplyDeleteHope tomorrow is fun too xx
