I got up at a decent hour this morning and did laundry, reading, and essay outlining. While it wasn't a very exciting day, I'm proud of how much I accomplished. Plus, I actually got a decent night's sleep last night for the first time in a week!
I met Christina and Emily for dinner at Blackhorn, my favorite burger place of all time. We also decided to try their milkshakes which are incredible. (Still inferior to Cookout's though, of course.)
We went to the Scottish a cappella contest and got to see lots of amazing groups perform. I think the highlight was St Andrews' 'The Other Guys' singing "It's Raining Men."
Instead of staying to hear the results, we decided to head to the Union. However, we hadn't realized that it was student government election results night and thus, the Union wasn't an option as it was packed with people waiting to hear the results. We headed to The Central instead, which is supposedly the oldest pub in St Andrews and has a very chill atmosphere.
We weren't quite ready to head home yet afterwards...so we set off in search of the famous Fisher and Donaldson's vending machine and we actually found it with very little trouble! It's an incredible machine that dispenses pastries, pies, and even mac & cheese!
While Christina and Emily opted for dessert options, I decided to try a spinach roll just so that we could see how the machine heated things up. The best part is that in addition to the machine being super fun to use, the food actually tasted amazing!
It's time for bed now, as I'm hoping to get up at a decent hour tomorrow so that I can accomplish a lot. Here's to hoping that goes as planned...xxx
